Moonwalk FAQ’s

How do I reserve equipment?
Choose your equipment and get a quote or book at www.moonwalkbouncers.com. You may also inquire at moonwalkbouncers@gmail.com, our Facebook page or by telephone, however all bookings are done online. Bookings are reserved on a first come first served basis. To receive a quote, we require your equipment selection, a contact name, name of Organization with address, phone number, email, event address, ground surface, date & time of booking. Once you request a quote, an invoice will be sent to you for review. A minimum $50.00 non-refundable* deposit and signature are required to book equipment. Deposit amount depends on the size of your order. Please review all information that is presented to you in your quote and ensure all details are correct. Please keep a copy of the invoice and rules for your records.

How do I pay for equipment?
Payment can be made by cash, money order, business cheque payable to Moonwalk, Visa, MasterCard (processing fees apply) or direct E-transfer to moonwalkbouncers@gmail.com, no password is required.
Once your deposit is made, equipment is booked. The balance of your invoice is due prior to your Event. You will receive an email reminding you that payment is due. In some circumstances, arrangements can be made to pay the balance upon delivery of equipment. Equipment will not be set up until payment is made, no exceptions.
No personal cheques, no exceptions, sorry!

What happens in the event of inclement weather?
Moonwalk reserves the right to cancel bookings due to severe/inclement weather. If we are unable to set up, a phone call, email or text will be sent to you the morning of your booking to notify you of the cancellation. However, after set up regular prices apply even if weather becomes inclement. There is no cancellation fee if we cancel due to inclement weather and your deposit can be returned to you.

What if I have to cancel?
Moonwalk requires a minimum of 7 business days’ cancellation notice prior to your Event date. This consideration and common courtesy will allow us to rebook the equipment for other customers. Please refer to our cancellation policy in the Terms & Conditions document.

What if I need to change or cancel my booking? Once placed, your booking is firm. However, if you need to change your booking due to adverse reasons or circumstance, please call or email us, we will do what we can to accommodate your request.

Why should I choose Moonwalk for my next party or event? We have been a locally owned and operated family business for over 17 years, and are reputable in the inflatable industry. We are licensed by TSSA and fully insured. We strive for outstanding customer service and satisfaction and have been noted for our well maintained, clean, reasonable rental rates and friendly, professional staff. We have a large fleet of inflatables and other party rental equipment, which can handle many sizes or types of events from a backyard birthday party to a large corporate event or fundraiser for 1000+ guests.

What inflatable(s) are suitable for my event? Consider how many children/adults are you hoping to entertain? What is the age range? How much space do you have? How long is my event? What is the ground surface? Contact us with these details so our expert staff can help you choose the ideal unit.

Who can use inflatables? We recommend 125-150 lbs per individual rider on most of our inflatables. Up to 250 lbs per rider on our 'larger' inflatables. We can supply units for kids, teens and adults, please visit our website for inflatable details.

Are inflatables safe? Yes! safety is our #1 concern. Safety rules are provided at the time of booking, via signage, affixed to some of the units and a representative from Moonwalk will walk you through the written rules prior to your event. In addition to the rules adult supervision and operation is mandatory at all times. Moonwalk carries liability insurance for your protection.

How far in advance should I make my reservation? To avoid disappointment, please book as soon as possible, as weekends in the summer get very busy. However, since we have a large inventory we have become last minute specialists and we will do our best to fit you in.

Does Moonwalk deliver and setup? YES! Due to licensing requirements in Ontario, are licensed units must be setup by a TSSA licensed technician. We are a full-service company employing licensed set up technicians. Depending on the location of your event, a delivery fee may apply.

What is the rental period? Our standard rental periods are 4 hours (half-day) or 8 hours (full-day). Please do not hesitate to contact us about special requests or circumstances, such as multiple day rentals, critical pick-up times, etc.

What are the space and surface requirements for an inflatable? An inflatable will require a reasonably level surface, with about two feet of clearance on all sides of the unit. For example, a 12' x 12' bouncer will require a 18' x 18' space to safely accommodate riders, blower and equipment. The unit can be set up on a variety of surfaces including, grass, concrete, asphalt, gravel or any indoor surface. However, it is imperative that you let us know PRIOR to your event what type of surface we are going to set up on. If you have space/surface related questions, call our sales office where our expert staff will be happy to assist you.

What are the electrical requirements for an inflatable? As per ESA and TSSA each unit must have a dedicated 120 Volt/15 Amp outlet within 100 feet. Most household outlets meet this requirement. Please note, if your event requires more than one inflatable, then independent outlets are required for each blower. Power is the customers responsibility so please ask if you are unsure! If the site does not have sufficient power, you can contact us for the rental of a generator.

Will Moonwalk set up at public events/parks? YES! We are a fully TSSA licensed and insured company, with all required permits from TSSA. It should be noted that many cites and townships require additional permits for inflatables in public parks. Be sure to inquire with your desired venue about such permits. Or call us, as we may have experience with your venue of choice.

How long does it take to set up/take down a unit? Is this time included in my rental period? On most typical backyard parties, a single small unit set up will take between 20-30 minutes. At multiple unit events, the setup time is longer. It will take about the same amount of time to take the unit down. In any case, you do not pay for set up time. Rental periods include jump time only. We pick the unit up after the rental period has expired.

WE are responsible for: (unless otherwise arranged/approved)
• Supplying equipment in clean and good working condition. We will deliver, set up, clean up and take down equipment. We supply all necessary equipment like extension cords, tarps, sand bags or ground stakes which are necessary safe set up.
• Reviewing all necessary safety rules and providing basic onsite training.
• Providing liability insurance for your safety. Certificate of Insurance available upon request
• Maintaining our TSSA license & insurance annually to ensure your safety
• Arriving a minimum of 30 mins+ (one unit) before your Event start time to ensure equipment is ready to go!
• Taking down at the end of your Event as scheduled or as per Moonwalk policy
• Providing an on-call staff in case of emergency at all times 705-715-2925

What is MY responsibility?
I AM (the renter) responsible for (unless otherwise arranged/approved):
• Being ready for Moonwalk when they show up and have someone available to guide staff
• Providing adult supervision and operation at ALL times
• Adequate clean space that is free of any kind of obstruction or debris (that includes dog feces). Moonwalk cannot climb flights of stairs, go through small doorways, small gates.
• Designated 15amp/120V electrical outlet within 100 feet or a 3000-watt generator, per unit
• Informing Moonwalk of the ground surface. Inflatables can be set up on pavement (need to know in advance), however grass is preferred and safer. Small slopes and angles are ok.
• Reading, understanding, complying and signing a rental agreement/invoice prior to or onsite before Moonwalk will release any rental equipment.
• Providing all necessary directions, details, information (including a contact) and payment
